These funds are to assist people over the age of 55 who are in need of financial support, either by way of a one-off grant or a regular payment that will be determined by the Trustee on assessment of your application.

Criteria for Grant Giving
The Trustee will consider applicants from eligible people over the age of 55. Furthermore, applications should demonstrate some form of evidence of financial needs as outlined below.
While we do not have a defined upper limit on the income applicants can receive, however as a rule of thumb:
Applicants should have savings lower than £1000
Applicants disposable income should be lower than £100 per week*

*Disposable income is defined as the income left following all bill payments and essential purchases for day to day living. Eg. Total Income - Total weekly expenditure.

In considering applicants, the Trustee wishes to see information about how the grant will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of the individual applicant
Proof of income and savings will be required to be seen by the Trustee to confirm information contained in the application - please include in your application if possible.
Applicants whose disposable income is lower than outlined and meet the threshold regarding savings, will be eligible for the reward.
The Trustee reserves the overall right to refuse an application at its discretion.

Applicant has sufficient savings to provide the items required without grant assistance.
Grant requested was high in relation to fund available.
Concerns about the applicants financial capacity.
Insufficient information about financial position provided by applicant.

The applicant will receive an acknowledgement that their application has been duly received, confirming the date their application would be assessed by the Trustee.
The applicant will receive a letter confirming the outcome of the Trustee’s assessment and, if appropriate, will be asked for the necessary bank details to process the grant or pension.
Cash awards are not made and if necessary (e.g. if the applicant does not have a bank account) we will be purchasing the goods required and forward these to the recipient.
