Lench’s Trust adopts a zero-carbon approach to all its developments and improvements.
As fossil fuels run out and energy requirements throughout the world increase, the emphasis will change from the current energy sources to renewable, sustainable energy.
Because of this energy conservations has been one of the major considerations when carrying out maintenance improvements to the properties and the Trust has been very successful in reducing energy usage and improving the efficiency of the housing stock.
Our achievements so far…
In order to achieve our zero-carbon mission at Lench’s Trust we have been making green changes to all areas of the Trust:
Installing new and highly energy efficient boiler at Lench’s Close;
Better insulation installed at both Tanner’s Close and Lench’s Close;
Replacing all doors & windows at Lench’s Close and Tanner’s Close with efficient uPVC doors & windows;
Ensuring William Lench Court and Head Office were built to the optimum standards;
Bistro kitchen at William Lench Court refurbished to become energy efficient using all electric units;
Company vehicles have been exchanged for sustainable electric vehicles with onsite charging ports at all schemes;
Recycling facilities available for residents at all schemes;
We use LED lighting in our schemes due to more efficient power consumption – spending power to emit just light instead of light and heat.
