About Laura Whitehouse

I’m a qualified Accountant (ACCA) and have worked in the non-profit sector for over 10 years. Back in 2010 I was seconded to the Trust, from my accountancy firm, working 2 days a week at the head office. The rest of my working week was spent working all over the Midlands, to help other businesses straighten out the finance function, in the outsourcing team. Fast forward a few years and in 2013, I was offered the opportunity to work full time at the Trust, taking ownership of the role and becoming a permanent fixture here at Lench’s Trust.

Since I started working with the Trust, I have been through 2 developments, both in Quinton, which doubled the number of apartments available, we added Care to our belts in 2013 and Catering, came on board in 2015 – all these different elements have added experience to my career, and I have learnt so much whilst being employed by the Trust.

Back in 2019, I was asked to step up and add Deputy CEO to my title, which is where I am now, I have worked alongside a great team, who have a fantastic vision for our future, and I am excited to see what happens.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and in recent years I have completed a 26 mile walk in aid of Alzheimer’s Society as well as climbing Snowdon at Midnight, for the same amazing cause.  On an evening you will usually find me a lot less active, either with my Sudoku book in hand/ watching some very interesting (but trashy) TV or playing with some Lego!
